e.l.f Beauty will soon offer products made at Fair Trade Certified Facilities

Today's consumers no longer buy cosmetics and skin care products based solely on fancy brand names and beautiful packaging.

Consumers want to know if the ingredients are safe for their skin and the environment.

The clean beauty business is rapidly expanding, consistently outperforming its traditional competitors over the years. According to Statista, the global market value of clean beauty will likely reach $50.5 billion by 2027. Meanwhile, research estimates that 24% of adult Americans classify themselves as "clean" consumers, and the number is expected to keep rising. With the consumer demand shift, many beauty brands are seeking to address ethical and environmental challenges through people & planet-conscious products and packaging. They are making efforts to acquire social and environmental credentials, such as the Fair Trade Factory Certification.

And, e.l.f. Beauty is at the heart of this transition.

Inspiring fellow brands to fall in line, e.l.f. Beauty has become a pioneer in the cosmetics sector to have one of its third-party manufacturing facilities Fair Trade Certified. The certification applies to all products in the e.l.f. Beauty portfolio, including e.l.f. Cosmetics, e.l.f. SKIN, Well People, and Keys Soulcare.

About Fair Trade USA

Fair Trade USA is a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable sourcing certification programs around the world. To receive Fair Trade Certified Factory credential, the manufacturing facility must complete audits and meet more than 100 compliance requirements, including encouraging sustainable lives, secure working environments for factory employees, environmental protection, transparent supply chains, etc.

According to Tarang Amin, e.l.f. Beauty Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, "We bring premium quality products at an extraordinary value that are cruelty-free, vegan, and clean, and now we are achieving a Fair Trade Certification." The brand also expressed that it is excited to raise consumer awareness and educate people about fair trade practices to make a positive impact in communities throughout the world. On Tuesday, 27th September 2022, e.l.f. Beauty (NYSE: ELF) released its first-edition E.L.F BEAUTY FISCAL 2022 IMPACT REPORT outlining the company's ethical goals & accomplishments for the year 2022. The report presents the brand's initiatives to make a difference in society, the environment, and animals.

"Our vision is to be a different kind of beauty company by building brands designed to disrupt industry norms, shape culture, and connect communities through positivity, inclusivity, and accessibility." - Tarang Amin, e.l.f. Beauty Chairman & Chief Executive Officer.

e.l.f. Beauty is currently working on getting certification for other suppliers.
